Lace and Burlap Themed Wedding

Jen had a vision of exactly what she was hoping her wedding invitation would look like, which can sometimes make the designer's job easier, but sometimes harder, because you have to get it done perfectly! I took on the challenge and we are both happy with the results of this mixture between rustic and elegance.

Fun in the Sun Themed Wedding

Jenna was looking for an invitation that would match a weeding on a beach. She wanted some type of beach-themed art to go along with a fun hand-written font. Another request was using her all time favorite colors of pink and green. I decided on shimmer cardstock because I know Jenna is a fan of glitter. The save-the-date for this collection was especially fun. Jenna thought something in the shape of a flip flop would be wonderful. I enjoyed designing it and turning it into a magnet. I was able to tie it together with the invite by the element of the feet in the corner of the invite.

Backyard Bonfire Themed Wedding

Melanie is a big fan of wood-burned items, and thought an invitation made out of wood would match her bonfire themed wedding perfectly. I have access to a laser engraver, which was a great way of creating the wood-burned invite. The laser cuts into the wood with precision, to give the rustic feel, but to have the accuracy that a professional invitation should maintain. The process of making them was fun as well, and the burning wood smells so good!

Wonderland
Themed Wedding

Sara let me know of two things she loves when we sat down to talk about her invitation: "Alice in Wonderland" and glitter. Sara made it clear that she didn't want the invitation to look exactly like a scene from out of the book, but to instead create something where inspiration stemmed from the story. She was wanted the colors gold and black to be featured. It was a fun process of trial and error figuring out which way to best apply the glitter.

Legend of Zelda Themed Wedding

Nicole loves video games and the renessance, and thought that basing her invite off of the "Legend of Zelda" video game would give her the exact look she wanted. I also took inspiration from "Game of Thrones", which gave me the idea of a long thin invite, that could potentially be rolled up into a scroll, the way letters are depicted of being sent in renessance movies. For the save-the-date, I went in a bit more modern direction, taking inspiration from that faerie you love to hate, Navi, as I thought her catch phrase worked really well for a save-the-date.

Tangled Themed Wedding

Justine loves disney movies. Her all time favorite is Tangled, and asked for an invitation inspired by the movie. The floating lanterns are a big them in the movie and I thought they would be a beautiful design for an invitation. I opted for a folded card, to help carry out the idea of telling a fairy tale through the invitation. For the save-the-date, I opted for a renessance-feel that included this basic sun graphic, which is also a sweet theme that re-occures in Tangled.

Nautical Newport Themed Wedding

Alex was very specific in letting me know she wanted a nautical themed invitation with the colors lime green and navy. We then worked together in finding inspiration and researching what would best fit her. We settled on this really cool idea of layering vellum paper of cardstock for the invitation. We also wanted a singular theme throughout all aspects. I ended up creating a type of logo for Alex, that could be placed not only on stationary needs, but oter areas of the wedding to. We had the logo etched onto wine glasses for her, and there are countless other places it could show up at a wedding as well.
