About the Designer
Catrina Joki is a graphic designer in the Greater Boston Area. She is drawn towards elegant typography and finding the perfect typefaces combined with designs for each individual bride.
My path as a designer has been fluid and transformational. It started off technical with coding, before moving towards creative designs. From there I have found that through personal preference and the opportunities that have been presented that I enjoy creating elegant typographic designs with beautiful elements. When I stumbled into a stationary studio that specialized in wedding invitations, it clicked in my head that I would love to be the one to design the invitation to a couple’s special day. I love how personal these designs are, and creating that intimate relationship with the client to ensure that what they are giving out to their loved ones is more than just a peice of paper with words on
it, but it is a peice of personalized art. The true beauty of the invitation often goes beyond the design on the computer; it also involves the process of putting the peices together. The ribbon, glitter, lace, and jeweles. These little details that make the invitation come together as one beautiful statement.
